A note on Ink Cartridges
Tuesday, February 17th, 2009In modern times, the printer has become an item of necessity at almost all places, be it a restaurant, offices, homes or hotels. Apart from this there are many other places where the use of printers has become of paramount importance. Now for using a printer one basically needs two things. One is electricity and the other is ink for the printer. The printer cannot work without either of them. The more important cog in the wheel is the ink for the printer. This is so because the ink is in limited supply and gets finished up quickly. Moreover, the ink in the cartridges can get dried up and lose their working capacity if kept unused for long periods of time.
One primary thing about ink cartridges that the consumer needs to remember is the use of the ink. All printers do not use the same ink. So it is always advisable to have a detailed knowledge of the type of ink that one’s own printer requires. The basic categories into which the ink is classified are dry and wet ink. The laser printers require the use of toner ink which is more of a dry type while the laser-jet series uses the wet ink.
Ink cartridges are manufactured in such a manner so that it is easy to refill them once the ink gets over. But as with all other appliances or goods, this needs to be done by a professional so that the cartridge doesn’t get spoiled. It is always a cheaper option to get the cartridges refilled rather than buying a new one. As a result, this method is way ore popular with people as compared to the other aforementioned method. Almost all the companies selling ink cartridges guarantee the quality of their products and ensure that the printers don’t get affected by the ink.
