Getting Ink Cartridges Cheaply
Tuesday, February 17th, 2009Almost everyone feels a secret surge of pleasure when one gets something for a lower price than what he is expected to pay. But one needs to be aware of the fact that most cheap versions are faulty and get wasted easily. The same is the case with buying cheap ink cartridges.
The following are some aspects one needs to remember while buying cheap ink cartridges. If one needs to lower the cost, then he/she can buy the same from an online dealer. Online dealers generally sell the same product as regular retailers but at lower prices. This is because of the fact that they are able to get a better deal from the manufacturers.
There are basically two forms of cheap ink cartridges- the remanufactured cartridges and the compatible or generic cartridges. The former are recycled OEM cartridges which have been broken down, refilled, reassembled and then finally tested. Once the entire above process is done, the recycled cartridges are sold. On the other hand, compatible or generic cartridges are the ones which have been manufactured by third parties. They manufacture cartridges which can be used by a variety of printers, in a bid to increase their consumer base. But there is always the risk that the compatible cartridge might not work with some printers. The remanufactured cartridges do not have any such problems. They work fine with the printers for which they were manufactured in the first place.
One can get a cheap ink cartridge at almost one-third of the price of the original cartridge. Most online sellers offer huge discounts for such cartridges. Of course, it is always advisable to check out a few web sites before settling on a particular site because different sites offer varying rates of discount.
