Types of Brother Toner Cartridge

Brother’s Printers have always been a pioneer in the printer market. The quality and service offered by this company has made it one of the best brands in the printer industry. The toner cartridge that works well with a Brother printer is Brother TN350. Under this brand some of the best choices of toner cartridges are: TN-430, DR-400 and TN-460. Usually, most toner cartridges manufactured by Brother can be used for Brother Printers. However, make sure you do some research about the cartridge that will suit your printer.

The process of refilling a Brother’s toner cartridge for a laser printer is an easy task. Make sure that you do it in a place where there is no breeze or flame as it can burn. Try and cover your mouth and nose as it can cause irritation when inhaled. There are basically three types of Brother Laser toner cartridges:

• Drum: cartridge having a drum with a coating of gelatin and gears
• Toner and developer: it is similar to drum cartridge but it uses developer and toner both
• Canister: tube to hold toner 

Drum cartridges are considered to be the most complex. There are three coatings of different colors, red blue and green. When you start refilling, you will have to look for the waster hopper and the toner hopper.

Toner and developer cartridges have tow plugs. The small plug is meant for developer and large plug is meant for toner. You will require cross headed, flat and medium sized screwdriver to remove the screws from the waste box at the end of the cartridge. 

In order to refill a Brother’s toner cartridge, you will need a newspaper or towel. Once you find the plug at the end of the cartridge, remove it. Shake the toner bottle well before filling the cartridge with a funnel. After putting back the plug, seal it and install it in the printer.
