Getting Ink Cartridges Cheaply

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

Almost everyone feels a secret surge of pleasure when one gets something for a lower price than what he is expected to pay. But one needs to be aware of the fact that most cheap versions are faulty and get wasted easily. The same is the case with buying cheap ink cartridges.

The following are some aspects one needs to remember while buying cheap ink cartridges. If one needs to lower the cost, then he/she can buy the same from an online dealer. Online dealers generally sell the same product as regular retailers but at lower prices. This is because of the fact that they are able to get a better deal from the manufacturers.

There are basically two forms of cheap ink cartridges- the remanufactured cartridges and the compatible or generic cartridges. The former are recycled OEM cartridges which have been broken down, refilled, reassembled and then finally tested. Once the entire above process is done, the recycled cartridges are sold. On the other hand, compatible or generic cartridges are the ones which have been manufactured by third parties. They manufacture cartridges which can be used by a variety of printers, in a bid to increase their consumer base. But there is always the risk that the compatible cartridge might not work with some printers. The remanufactured cartridges do not have any such problems. They work fine with the printers for which they were manufactured in the first place.

One can get a cheap ink cartridge at almost one-third of the price of the original cartridge. Most online sellers offer huge discounts for such cartridges. Of course, it is always advisable to check out a few web sites before settling on a particular site because different sites offer varying rates of discount.

Discover the replacement in cartridge Prior to Buying the Printer

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

When you buy a new computer you often get a new printer as well. Most people buy the printer that is on sale, or the prettiest printer, or the largest printer, but they actually give no thought to the replacement in cartridge of ink.

Ink cartridges are probably one of the most expensive ongoing expenses you have to make during the printers lifetime. You need to find out as much as you can about the replacement in cartridge of inks, before you purchase a printer.

There are several things you can find out before purchasing your printer:
1. How many pages does an ink cartridge print before it runs out. Many times this information is in the printer specs. You know that small print area.
2. How much does the ink cartridge cost. Often the cheaper the printer is, or the printers that are on sale have very expensive ink cartridges.
3. Find out if the ink cartridge has the print head on it, or the computer chip. These ink cartridges are often more expensive than other cartridges
4. Figure out what kind of print quality you need. If you print a lot of pictures or art work, you may want a printer with separate color cartridges.
5. Ask the sales person if replacing the cartridge is easy. You don’t want to be stuck there for hours, and hours.
6. Ask whether or not there are compatible ink cartridges for this model. There is nothing wrong with buying generic ink cartridges, everyone does it, so ask!

If you find out the above information before you choose a printer, you will be better equipped to choose the right printer for your needs. You wont choose a printer based on how pretty the plastic is, or how small or big it is, but on real characteristics that work for you.

Cutting down on Printer Ink Cartridge costs

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

Printers are used by a host of people nowadays. They range from the office-going corporate to the work-at-home housewife; all of them have uses for the printer. People are even using the printer for personal uses and the like. Whatever be the use, one most probably buys the printer ink cartridge from the local retailers. Most of them charge higher prices than necessary from the customers but the customers are compelled to pay if they can’t avoid the use of printers. Printing has become a sort of necessity which the retailers use to their advantage.

The best solution for this is to buy the printer ink from web sites. Online selling and dealing has become a popular thing with most people as they are able to save quite a substantial amount in this manner. Some of the main reasons for the lower prices listed online can be attributed to the fact that online retailers are able to get better and cheaper deals from the manufacturers. As a result, they charge less from customers resulting in a win-win situation for all.

One more advantage of buying printer ink cartridges online is the variety that one gets to check out. When one isn’t sure about the requirements, it is always better to make a detailed study of the features of all the products before buying. When one is making a purchase from regular retailers, then visits to various shops is imminent if detailed study is planned. This is not so in online buying because one can check out all the products at one place itself. Lastly, one can also get generic or compatible ink cartridges rather than branded cartridges. Most of these work as fine as their branded counterparts but are far more easy-going on the pocket.

Consumables for Toners

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

Printers have become the boon of the present times. This is evident in the fact that printers find use in almost all places like hotels, restaurants, offices, hospitals and the like. Places that need fast printouts generally use the laser printers because they have a faster speed of functioning. Basically, there are two types of printers on basis of colour- the monochrome and the colour printer. The monochrome printers are best suited for the text prints and can print up to a maximum of 500 prints per minute. Of course, the number of prints per minute depends on the type of model being used. On the other hand, the colour printers are used to print pictures and images. The colour printers are also used to print the colour black in images.

The colour printers are more expensive as compared to the monochrome printers and the toner consumables are also expensive. The main reason for the extra cost of these printers is the speed of their functioning. They have a host of features which are generally not present on the monochrome printers. This is because the colour printers are usually used to print images. The first and foremost thing which determines the cost of the printer is the amount of toner consumables used. The consumables consist of a few things which have to be changed from time to time. This is to ensure optimum performance from the printer. The consumables include such components as the developer unit, fuser, ozone filter, etc. the varied nature of these components accounts for the high cost of the printer.

The toner consumables generally determine the quality of the printer. Since these printers can cost quite a handsome sum, it is always better to do a little survey before settling in on the one which you want to buy.

Be Careful with That Black Ink Cartridge!

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

When you use a printer with any amount of frequency, you will learn quite quickly that the black ink cartridge is the one you use the most. I remember the first printer I bought. I think I printed so much that I ran out of ink within two weeks. I believe I even used the black ink cartridge to print several dozen copies, instead of taking the document to a local copying company.

It was then, that I found out I was making  a  big mistake. I went to the store to go get another black ink cartridge, thinking; “Hey its just ink, how much can it cost?” Was I in for a big surprise! When I saw that $40 price tag, I was shocked. “For ink, you have got to be kidding?” I even called the sales person over to verify the price. Oh my! And I have to buy a new black ink cartridge every two weeks? I sure wasn’t going to do that. I wouldn’t have anything left in my budget to eat on.

Well, I learned quickly enough, to manage my ink supply, and later I learned about compatible ink cartridges, where to buy the least expensive ink cartridges (online, by the way), and where to find remanufactured ink cartridges, or refilled cartridges. Since, those long ago days, my ink budget has gone way down. Now I still print a lot, but I have found much better ink prices. If I do have to buy a manufacturers black ink cartridge, I make sure to use it sparingly!

So lets get to the point! My suggestion is that you carefully consider the type of printer you buy, and then look into all types of ink purchasing possibilities. Just because you have a certain brand name printer, doesn’t mean you have to buy the same brand name ink. You just have to find compatible ink for your printer.

A note on Ink Cartridges

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

In modern times, the printer has become an item of necessity at almost all places, be it a restaurant, offices, homes or hotels. Apart from this there are many other places where the use of printers has become of paramount importance. Now for using a printer one basically needs two things. One is electricity and the other is ink for the printer. The printer cannot work without either of them. The more important cog in the wheel is the ink for the printer. This is so because the ink is in limited supply and gets finished up quickly. Moreover, the ink in the cartridges can get dried up and lose their working capacity if kept unused for long periods of time.

One primary thing about ink cartridges that the consumer needs to remember is the use of the ink. All printers do not use the same ink. So it is always advisable to have a detailed knowledge of the type of ink that one’s own printer requires. The basic categories into which the ink is classified are dry and wet ink. The laser printers require the use of toner ink which is more of a dry type while the laser-jet series uses the wet ink.

Ink cartridges are manufactured in such a manner so that it is easy to refill them once the ink gets over. But as with all other appliances or goods, this needs to be done by a professional so that the cartridge doesn’t get spoiled. It is always a cheaper option to get the cartridges refilled rather than buying a new one. As a result, this method is way ore popular with people as compared to the other aforementioned method. Almost all the companies selling ink cartridges guarantee the quality of their products and ensure that the printers don’t get affected by the ink.

WHAT IS TONER PRINTER?

A toner printer is a printer that does not use ink to print unlike the inkjet printer which squirts the ink on to the paper. A laser toner printer provides you with good quality prints and takes less time to print and also cost much less than the inkjet printers.
A toner printer does not use ink. Instead it makes use of charged powder which gets attracted to the drum in the printer and is then imposed on the paper when heat is produced. This powder melts when heated and then you get the print you want.

These toners are designed to provide excellent quality and are much cheaper than the other type of printers. THE TRUTH ABOUT COMPATIBLE LASER TONER CARTRIDGES

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

Compatible laser toner cartridges have had mixed opinions from different people. This is probably because they know very little about these cartridges. There are so many myths about these cartridges that are totally untrue. Below are a few untruths about the compatible laser toner cartridges that you will be glad you know!
One of the biggest misconceptions of the cartridges are these are cheap cartridges. The only reason they cost less is because they are manufactured by third party manufactures. To further prove their point. They provide 100 percent money back guarantee for a period of one year.
One of the other aspects of the compatible laser toner printer that many are worried about is that the warranty on their printer will become void. But this is not true! The government has passed a law which makes it illegal for a manufacturer to make certain you buy only their supplies. If such a situation existed then it would eventually lead to a monopoly.
Many people also fear that the use of a compatible laser toner cartridge will damage the printer. This is again not true. A toner cartridge cannot damage the printer to a large extent. This is because it is highly unlikely that a toner cartridge will leak and spill ink on your paper. Even if this does happen all you need to do is remove the cartridge clean it and then replace it and it will work just as before. If you purchase your compatible toner cartridges from reputable toner manufacturers then there is no problem in the quality and even if you do have a problem or are not satisfied with the product they will be more than willing to help you resolve your problem.
