Since the advent of the Laser Printer, the technique of printing has become more easier than ever. With the usage of a laser printer, you can easily print hundreds and even thousands of pages for a very cheap cost. Before Laser Printers, it was very hard to print in bulk quantities as normal ink cartridges would cost lot more due to the fact that the printing costs per page was higher.
However, the one problem that you may have with your laser printers can be the price for the laser toners. Sometimes, buying a new laser printer toner can run up to the levels of 50 dollars or more. However, one thing about laser printer toners is the fact that they can be refurbished and recycled. With many professional outlets, it is possible for you to get refurbished laser toners that permit you to pay the fraction of a cost of a new toner.
With refurbished laser printer toners, you can have them refilled or refurbished for a couple of dollars. In some cases, most laser printer toners can be refurbished for 2 or more times. However, you should get an opinion from a professional since some toners can not be refurbished due to their initial design. Thus, it might be best for you to get some advice from your computer salesman on which printer to buy. This way, you can make sure that you can refurbish your laser printer toner.
Of course, if your toner can’t be refurbished any more, you can easily recycle your toner so that it will be used again as raw material. This will also help you to save your environment in the long run too. Hence, buy a laser printer today, so that you can have all the print outs that you need for a very cheap price.

One of the most important parts of a laser printer is the laser printer drum unit. This is the main part of the laser printer, as it allows for the printing process to take place on the paper. Through this mechanism, paper is printed efficiently and cheaply. The laser printer drum unit resembles a drum and hence it gets its name from its shape.
The laser printer drum contains an electrically charged wire that discharges a positive charge to the drum. Thus since the drum is charged, it acts as a photoreceptor. The laser part of the laser printer burns the image of the printed document on the drum. Thus, an electrostatic image is formed on the drum; then the drum is coated with toner or positively charged black ink. Hence, the laser writes on the photoconductive drum, as the ink goes toward the negatively charged parts of the paper.
As you can see, the laser printer drum is the most important part of the printer. Although, a toner may last between 1000 to 5000 pages; the drum can last for over a 100,000 pages. In the initial models of laser printers, the drum was not separate from the toner and you had to change the drum unit frequently. Nowadays, with proper care, the laser printer drum will last for many toners with proper care.
One of the things that you have to watch out for is the fact that you should not use your toner to the end. When the toner is about to finish, the drum will be coated with less ink then usual and thus this can cause the photoreceptor surface to get damaged. In addition, most manufacturers suggest that you turn off your laser printer when you are not using it, so that the drum will not remain charged all the time.

Hewlett Packard or HP is one of the biggest printer manufacturers in the world. HP printers are sold in over 176 countries in the world. You can find ink jet printers, as well as HP laser printers. If you have an inkjet printer, your ink cartridge can cost between $30 to $50, while if you have a laser printer, its HP Toner cartridge can cost around $70 to $110 for each toner.
Of course, with the advancing technology, the prices of HP Toner cartridges are being lowered every day. Just about a decade ago, you would have been able to buy a HP Toner cartridge for around $150 or more. Hence, owning an HP laser printer was not an option for everybody. However, nowadays this option is available to many people, as you can buy an HP toner cartridge for a much cheaper price.
A standard HP toner cartridge will print between 1000 to 4000 pages depending upon its usage. However, this figure is based on a standard document with % 5 filling ratio on the paper. In general, this entails a standard document with text and maybe a single picture. However, if you start printing graphics or pictures, then of course your toner will print fewer pages. Thus, if you want to conserve your H P toner, it is best for you to print text documents. As a further measure, you can also alter the printer settings on your Windows, so that it uses less ink.
If you want to replace your HP Toner cartridge, you can easily buy an original one from HP web site. Or as another alternative, you can easily go to various retail stores or even you can go to your local stationery store. Luckily for you, you can easily buy an HP Toner cartridge from thousands of outlets all over the world and all over the Internet.

Your fax machine is probably one of the most handy office equipment that can be found in your office. In the old days, a classic fax machine would use thermal paper and old style ink toner to print out your faxes. Although this was a simple solution, the problem with these fax machines was the fact that they were very slow. Moreover, fax that was received from these machines had the problem of fading out after some time. Especially if you exposed your fax paper to sunlight, the writing on your fax would become illegible immediately.
Nowadays, you have many modern options when it comes to fax machines. One of the newer fax machines that are available today is the laser fax machines that resemble laser printers. These fax machines use the same technology as laser printers, since they use a laser and a laser toner to print out your fax on a normal A4 or US Letter size paper. Moreover, the printout process of the fax takes place fairly quickly and due to the fact that your fax is printed, it is able to resist fading even when it is kept for longer periods of time.
When your fax laser toner finishes, it may be more expensive to replace as compared to classic toners. A fax laser toner can cost around $50 or more for many brands. However, you are not without options, as you can easily use refurbished laser toners or you can even buy a compatible fax laser toner for your laser fax machine. If you are really looking for a cheap option, you can also go for a replacement ink and refill your fax laser toner by yourself. However, this may not be a suitable option for every body.

Just 10 to 20 years ago, owning a printer was considered a luxury. However, nowadays owning a printer is a necessity. It doesn’t matter whether you are a student or a company worker, it is essential for you to buy a printer to print your documents. Your first option is to buy an inkjet printer for your daily use. There are many different brands of inkjet printers such as HP, Canon, Epson and Lexmark printers.
An inkjet printer is an economic and affordable printer that anyone can purchase. You can easily buy an inkjet printer for a price around $30 to $100 per printer (depending upon its qualifications). Thus, this type of a printer is ideal for students and for individuals. It can also be a viable option for those who need to use a single printer at work occasionally. It is cheap and affordable, as well as easy to use. However, the disadvantage with an inkjet printer is the fact that the inkjet toner inside your printer will be costly and its price per page will be higher than other types of printers.
A typical inkjet toner will allow you to print between 200 to 400 pages in its original format. However this statistic entails a usage of % 5 on the page. This is a usual document that has text and few graphics on it. But, if you print out pictures or graphical charts, then you may be able to print even less than 200 pages. The bad news is the fact that an original inkjet toner may cost between $40 to $60 and it may cost as much as the printer itself. However, the good news is that you can easily buy refill ink for your inkjet toner or you can even buy a compatible brand inkjet for your printer.

When your toner is finished, your laser printer will not work correctly. You will know that your toner cartridge is in need of a change when the following symptoms are present:
- The printer will have its yellow Led light blinking that shows that the toner is low
- The printouts from the printer will have a faded look.
- There could be a print defect on the printouts
- There could be smears or lines on the printouts
When you see the above symptoms; then it is the time to buy a new toner or a replacement toner. You will need to go through the following steps to change your toner cartridge.
1) First identify the exact model and the make of your printer.
2) Call your nearest computer shop to ask for the compatible toner for your laser printer.
3) You can buy an OEM Toner cartridge, compatible equivalent toner or refurbished toner cartridge.
4) Take out your old printer toner cartridge by opening your printer cover and by sliding the toner out of your printer.
5) Place your new printer toner in front of you and take out the strip inside the new toner. (This strip will not be found in refurbished or recycled toners. If you don’t take out this strip, your printer will print blank pages as a result)
6) Gently push your printer toner in to your printer. It should snap right in to its place. Never force it inside, as you may break your printer parts by using excessive force.
7) Close your printer cover and restart your printer or reset it.
8) If the toner is installed properly, the ready light will be blinking green.
9) Get a test page printout to make sure that your toner cartridge is installed correctly inside your laser printer

One of the most common types of printers is the laser printer. A laser printer works by using a laser beam to carve the image of the document on the drum part of your printer. Once the document’s image is carved onto the surface, the laser cartridge or the toner spews ink over the page. At this stage, both the ink and the drum are positively charged with static electricity. Once the laser cartridge discharges its ink, then the black ink bonds with the negatively charged parts of the paper. Hence, this causes the ink to bond or to get glued on to the paper. Thus, your printout comes out as a result of this process.
Of course, one of the essential components of the laser printer is the laser cartridge. The laser cartridge contains the toner or the ink that is used for the printing process. However, contrary to popular belief, the ink is not found in liquid form. Just the opposite, the ink that is placed inside the laser cartridge is in a black powdered format. In fact, this is a physical necessity as this is the only way that the dry ink powder can be charged with positive electrostatic electricity. This way, the ink gets to bond with the image on the paper thorough the drum.
Once your laser cartridge finishes, then you will have to either replace it or refill it. There are powdered ink kits that are available on the market for refilling toners. This is usually the best option, as you can refill a laser cartridge several times. However, for some laser printers, this may not be a viable option. In that instance, it is important for you to either buy an original cartridge or to buy a compatible laser cartridge for your laser printer.

Using a laser printer can be a huge convenience for you. It will allow you to print thousands of pages easily and cheaply. The main component of a laser printer is the toner inside. It allows you to print by heating up the ink inside the toner. With most brands of laser printers, you can print over a thousand pages with the toner for laser printer. In some laser printers, you can print over 10 thousand pages with your laser printer or copier.
However, if you want to use your laser printer for printing even more pages, then there are some things that you can do. First of all, you can use the draft function on your printer or on your computer so that your toner will spend less ink for each print out. This way, you can almost double the amount of pages that you can print with your toner for laser printer. The only disadvantage will be the fact that the printouts might be less darker than you may be used to.
But after some time, your toner may start to get depleted. You can easily understand this by the yellow led indicators that can be found on your printer or copier. When you see the yellow “Low Toner” led blinking; then you can take the toner out and shake it a little. This usually helps out by redistributing the ink inside of your toner. Thus, in most cases, you can easily get out another hundred pages of print outs or copies after this shaking process. But when your printouts become more faded out; then it is best that you change your toner immediately, before it finishes completely so that the drum will not get scratched on your printer.
