One of the most important parts of your printer is the printer toner. Without printer toners, you would not be able to print your documents efficiently and cheaply. The technology behind printer toners allows you to print documents that are easy to read and the printing costs are reduced considerably due to the efficiency of the toner. Nowadays, printer toners use ink much more efficiently.
However, once your toner is finished, it is best to buy original toners that will help to protect your printer. This is very important, as most printer manufacturers will recommend you to buy OEM Printer toners. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer and thus OEM Printer Toners are manufactured by the original printer manufacturers.
This way, you can make sure that the printer toners will not damage your original laser printer. The printing technology of the laser printers is very sensitive. As the laser printer filaments get heated up; the black ink (or the color ink) inside the laser printer toner will heat up and form an impression on the paper. Hence, this is the way in which printing process takes place.
However, when you use compatible toners or refurbished toners, you may not be able to get the same print out with the same quality. This is very important as sometimes compatible toners will not heat at the same degree as the OEM toners and this can cause your laser printer to get damaged as a result. In addition, statistics show that the OEM printer toners will use the ink more efficiently as compared to refurbished toners. Thus, this allows the printing process to be more cost effective. Hence, if you want to print your pages efficiently and cheaply; it is best that you use OEM Printer Toners in your printer.

One of the good things about a laser printer or a photocopy machine is the fact that they allow you to print or copy in bulk quantities. This can be a tremendous advantage for a company. However, one of the questions that users may have is the fact that what will happen when their toner finishes. In many cases, buying a new toner for your printer or copier can be a very costly process.
You can lower your toner and printing / copying costs by using a refurbished toner. This can be a huge advantage, as a refurbished toner may cost you only a fraction of what an original toner would cost. This will help save your pocket and it will reduce your printing costs dramatically.
Furthermore, using a refurbished toner allows old toners to be recycled. This directly leads to conservation of your environment and it also helps to conserve the national economy. In addition, using a refurbished toner will help save the economy, as over 3 quarts of oil needs to be used for the manufacturing of a toner.
Hence, as you can see, using a refurbished toner allows you to save your money, save your environment and to save energy and the national economy. It is your responsibility as an individual to make sure that you are able to help your environment in any way you can. Thus for best results, always use a refurbished toner for your printer or copier.

Having a printer is an important convenience. It allows you to print and replicate documents with ease. In fact, with the advent of printers, typewriters have become obsolete for many people. Nowadays, you can easily use a printer to print an article or a report that you have written. If you are a student, a journalist, a writer, an accountant or an office worker, then it is necessary for you to own a printer.
There are three main types of printers. One of the oldest and most commonly used printers is the dot matrix printer. This is a very common printer, as the dot matrix printer uses a ribbon print cartridge and a dotted matrix setup to create printed documents. With this type of a printer, the document is printed line by line in a matrix format. The printer prints dot by dot and line by line creating the document and thus earns the name dot matrix printer.
The second type of a printer is the inkjet printer. These types of printers use ink jet print cartridge system to print out documents. With these types of printers, the document image is sprayed on to the paper by the inkjet system. In most inkjet printers, the print cartridge contains black ink and color ink that has the 4 main colors inside. Thus, by the mixture of these inks, all colors and all images can be formed easily on the paper.
The third type of printer is the LaserJet printer. This is the fastest and the most efficient printer available, as these printers use a toner to print out documents in bulk quantities. Although, laser printers are more expensive as compared to the other two types of printers, they can print more cheaply and more speedily. Although the first model of laser printers only used black toners, now you can also use color laser printers to print color documents with graphics.

Using a copier can be a tremendous help for your company. By using a copier; you can easily replicate all of your documents with ease. However, it is essential for you to do some research before you purchase your copier. You will have to look at various factors in your copier, such as its speed in copying and its cost in copying. In fact, the cost of copying should be a more important factor than the cost of the copier.
The reason for this stems from the fact that a copier that prints too expensively can be a detriment to your budget in the future. One of the most important costs in a copier is definitely the type of toner for copiers that you will use. Your copier must be able to use a cheap toner that is easy to replace.
More importantly, the toner for your copier must have a record of printing hundreds and sometimes thousands of pages before a refill or a change is needed. This can allow you to print and use your copier more efficiently and you will be less concerned about the cost of printing.
However, not all toner for copiers can be considered the same. In most brands of copiers, it is recommended that you use an original toner for copiers in order to obtain the best result. This can be absolutely essential as some refurbished or recycled toners may cause you some trouble in the long run. This can be counterproductive, as you may end up spending more money printing each page with a refurbished toner. Hence, you should use original toners for best results and for more efficient operation of your copier. But, if you decide to use refurbished toner, make sure to check with your manufacturer before your decision.

- Old and used toners are collected by various companies.
- These used toner cartridges are cleaned thoroughly to remove any old traces of powdered ink that may remain inside. In most cases, these used toner cartridges are flushed and cleaned with chemicals.
- All parts of these used toner cartridges are inspected for any defects or for any broken components.
- If any part needs to be changed, then that part is changed immediately and then the broken part is sent away to be recycled for future use.
- The toner cartridge is filled with new powdered ink.
- These remanufactured toner cartridges are then checked and tested to make sure that they are functioning within normal parameters.

One of the most important parts of a laser printer is the laser printer drum unit. This is the main part of the laser printer, as it allows for the printing process to take place on the paper. Through this mechanism, paper is printed efficiently and cheaply. The laser printer drum unit resembles a drum and hence it gets its name from its shape.
The laser printer drum contains an electrically charged wire that discharges a positive charge to the drum. Thus since the drum is charged, it acts as a photoreceptor. The laser part of the laser printer burns the image of the printed document on the drum. Thus, an electrostatic image is formed on the drum; then the drum is coated with toner or positively charged black ink. Hence, the laser writes on the photoconductive drum, as the ink goes toward the negatively charged parts of the paper.
As you can see, the laser printer drum is the most important part of the printer. Although, a toner may last between 1000 to 5000 pages; the drum can last for over a 100,000 pages. In the initial models of laser printers, the drum was not separate from the toner and you had to change the drum unit frequently. Nowadays, with proper care, the laser printer drum will last for many toners with proper care.
One of the things that you have to watch out for is the fact that you should not use your toner to the end. When the toner is about to finish, the drum will be coated with less ink then usual and thus this can cause the photoreceptor surface to get damaged. In addition, most manufacturers suggest that you turn off your laser printer when you are not using it, so that the drum will not remain charged all the time.
